Parapox ovis virus immunostimulant.

Target species

Horses, cattle, sheep, goats, cats and dogs

Indications

Used to increase non-specific immunity in the target species. It increases the body's resistance to infections and helps treatment by strengthening the effect of therapeutic measures taken in disease. By stimulating the immune system, it contributes to the specific immune response developed after vaccination. It increases body resistance in stressful situations (transport or environmental conditions).

Composition

Inactivated Parapox ovis virus E(P)CK strain: minimum 256 interferon units

Excipients

Lactalbumin hydrolysate: 0.25 mg/dose

Sucrose: 0.50 mg/dose

Dosage and administration

Give 1 ml (1 dose) subcutaneously to cats and dogs. Give 2 ml (2 doses) intramuscularly to horses, cattle, sheep and goats.

When there is a risk of infection, 3 doses at 48-hour intervals after the first injection (day 0, day 2, day 4) are recommended; to help prevent stress-related diseases, the first doses should be given 3 to 1 days before the expected infection or source of stress appears.
