Indications

A hyperimmune serum used to protect and treat calves, lambs and kids against septicaemia and enterotoxaemia infections linked to Escherichia coli antigens and Clostridium perfringens type C beta toxin.

Composition

COMPOSITION: Each 1 ml of hyperimmune serum contains:

Antibody titre against Escherichia coli 11A and EC strains * · 1/960

Antitoxin titre against Clostridium perfringens type C β toxin · 10 IU

Bufferlu fizyolojik tuzlu su · up to 1 ml

Phenol · % 0.4

* Antibody titre against Escherichia coli K99 antigen

Dosage and administration

For prevention, give 5 ml subcutaneously to calves and 1 ml to lambs and kids. For treatment, give 10 ml subcutaneously to calves and 3 ml to lambs and kids.

Storage and shelf life

Store at +2/+8°C in the dark. Do not freeze. Shelf life: 24 months. Opened bottles must be used within 6-8 hours.

Withdrawal period

The withdrawal period in food-producing animals is 0 days.

Presentation

Glass and plastic bottles are closed with the same grey butyl stopper and yellow aluminium cap. Supplied in 5 ml type I amber glass bottles, in 25 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml type II amber glass bottles or 50 ml and 100 ml white plastic bottles; the 5 ml size in boxes/plastic trays of 5 and 10, the 25 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml sizes in single boxes. Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
